Open House at San Lorenzo Pioneer Cemetery

I am looking forward to attending the open house over at the San Lorenzo Pioneer Cemetery on Saturday, August 21,2010. I am anxious to see the cemetery since it has been renovated. The cemetery will be open from 9:00am - 1:00pm.

Come learn about this cemetery and it's history! The San Lorenzo Pioneer Cemetery Friends Group and the Hayward Area Historical Society will be in attendance to answer questions. There will be a scavenger hunt tour, refreshments and even volunteer opportunities. The cemetery is located on the corner of Hesperian Blvd. and College St. in San Lorenzo. Hope to see you there!

In Memory of and with Great Sadness...

We say good bye to the founder of the Graveyard Rabbits, Terry Thornton. He passed away last night. I wish to send his family my deepest condolences. I also wish to extend my thoughts and prayers to Terry's friends who are also suffering from his loss.

Terry has a soft spot in my heart, he made me feel so special. He was a great man and will be missed by many. I would now like to direct you to the official Graveyard Rabbit announcement of Terry's passing. It brought tears to my eyes. Our very own footnoteMaven has once again outdone herself with this post and the "remembrance card" she has made. Absolutely wonderful!

I asked permission from footnoteMaven to post the "remembrance card" on this blog. She has graciously given me permission; she did such a fantastic job making this memory card for Terry, and I plan to keep it on the main page of this blog for as long as this blog exists. Thank you for your dedication and hard work fM.

I hope you know how many will miss you Terry, you made a difference. Now, it is time to please Rest in Peace.
